Behind the Lens

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, a region rich with diverse landscapes ranging from the mountains of the Cascades to the Pacific coast, my love for adventure was instilled in me from an early age. Family trips of horse camping, rafting, and hiking invoked feelings of freedom and endless possibilities—the perfect conditions for a child's imagination to blossom. 

As an adult, that love expanded to include other activities such as skiing, mountaineering, climbing, and backpacking—all efforts to once again feel enraptured by the essence of the outdoor experience.

I'm deeply passionate about giving people of all identities, backgrounds, and levels of experience the opportunity to be inspired by nature and feel capable of exploring it safely and responsibly.

When people feel intimately connected to the Earth, as if we’re part of one giant, complex, and diverse organism, it brings us inner peace and a sense of our place in the universe.

When we go outside, we're reconnecting with a part of ourselves—an ancient relationship built into the fabric of our being. It's a bond with the same elements that formed us, the same forces that shaped us, and the very environments that made us who we are today. It's a sojourn into the reality of our ancestors, when their relationship to nature was ever-present and intimately tied to its astounding power and beauty.

By combining captivating imagery and honest storytelling, my vision is to help foster the growth of an outdoor community that believes that they're stewards of a delicate planet and are responsible for ensuring its health for generations to come. I believe that the same bliss, healing, and inspiration that the wilderness has provided me should be a privilege available to everyone.
